Being seduced by your boss can sound hot, but it may not be worth the trouble. Many people in a position of authority or power can have fantasies about being with a subordinate. Welcome Advances

If you are interested in your boss and he’s coming on to you, you could potentially get a relationship out of the situation. You may want to try to push the activity outside of work to keep things simple. If you are constantly being hit on by the boss, the other employees may start to feel resentful and it can lead to a bad working environment. If the advances are welcome, encourage your boss to keep it professional at work, and you can have fun after the job is done. This way you keep it out of the workplace entirely and can still have fun.

Unwelcome Advances

If your boss is attempting to seduce you and you don’t want them to, it’s a much different story. Just because they are your boss doesn’t mean they can walk all over you. Be firm in your declinations and be very clear that this isn’t welcome. If the advances continue you may want to check the policies on harassment. You may need to go above their head, or simply try to transfer to another department where someone else will be your superior. It’s never an easy situation, but if you handle it with grace you can get out of it with your job and no hard feelings.
